This week at BRBC:
May 15, 2022

10:30 AM  -  Adult Sunday school:  We are looking at the theme of the covenants in the Bible.  What are these and what is the nature and purpose of biblical covenants?

Children's Sunday School will also be held this Sunday at the same time.

11:30 AM  -  Worship Service:  We will be continuing our journey through the epistle of James (James 5:7-11).

Are you known for being patient?  How about when you are suffering unjustly?  Do you patiently endure suffering like a good soldier of Jesus Christ?  How about in the midst of affliction?  Do you wait upon the Lord to show you mercy and compassion or do you murmur against the providences of God?

Patience under trial is a true test of one's mettle.  But where do you find strength or courage to fuel your endurance under trial?  Do you look inwardly?  Pastor James encourages us to look to the Lord!  Self determination is not enough.  Paul said, "be strengthened by the grace that is in our Lord Jesus Christ."  Christ is the key to perserving in suffering, but apart from him we will become casualties of war.

Have you taken refuge in Christ until the storms of desruction passby?  Do you find in Him strength for today and a bright hope for tomorrow?

Come and worship the only true God with us this Sunday.

** We gather together weekly for a fellowship luncheon following the service.

2:30 PM - Prayer Meeting after lunch.  Please come and join us.

FURTHER THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK:

Apart from the true church, the body of Christ, you cannot be right with God.  How can you love the Head and neglect His body?  You cannot neglect His body and love Christ.

How sweet and refreshing is the inspired, immutable, infallible, inerrant Word of God in this world that is being "tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful schemes."

Come and join us this Sunday!

Hope to see you then,

Pastor Kevin James
